Position:

Pet Care Specialist with a strong emphasis on dog walking.
Dog Walking Schedule: Monday through Friday, generally from 7:30am to 3:00pm. Please note that your schedule would depend on your availability, performance, and client demand. No two weeks are ever alike in the pet care industry.
You may have dog walking opportunities up until about 5:30pm and up to about 25 hours of work per week. This is designed to be a part-time role.
This next role will be in Dallas, but we also service Bluffview, Highland Park, Knox-Henderson, Melshire Estates, Midway Hollow, Northwood Hills, Oak Lawn, Park Cities, Preston Hollow, Prestonwood, Russwood Acres, Univeristy Park and Uptown.

Compensation:

$17 / hour (the position will start at $17 per hour before bonuses, 100% client gratuity, and future performance reviews)

$1000 - $2000 / month (earnings will be dependent on your availability, performance, and client demand)

Mileage reimbursement (we design routes to limit driving to 10 minutes or less between clients whenever possible).
Increased pay for major holiday pet visits
Candidate and client referral bonuses.
Paid training, including Pet CPR and First Aid Certifications
Overnight care is performed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and is compensated at the rate of $88 per night.

The responsibilities:

Create a safe and positive walking environment for our clients' dogs.
Follow the client-provided care instructions, including training preferences.
Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats.
Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch.
Communicate with clients via phone/app and photographs.
Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player.
Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assigned visits.
Travel to our office location upon request.

The ideal candidate:

Former Wag and Rover walkers will appreciate the support Privileged Paws provides.
An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate who can provide our client's dogs and cats with the highest quality visits possible.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety and time management.
Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude with a desire to learn is just as important.
The candidate should enjoy an active work environment, walking independently and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
Candidates with evening, weekend, and holiday availability are given special consideration.

Many members of our staff were previously dog walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
The candidate should have an innate desire to care for animals while ensuring their safety.

How many optional overnight services are you interested in working each month?

The services run from 8pm to 7am. There is a 30-minute walk upon arrival and a 30-minute walk before departure. The service pays $88 per overnight.*

Holiday availability is an important part of professional pet-sitting services. Can you please share your holiday availability with us? As a note, the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s represent the peak of our pet-sitting client demand. Please share your part-time availability with us.*

We only work with one household's pets at a time but if needed, this position will require that you have the ability to walk multiple dogs from that household in an outdoor environment.

You may encounter the need to traverse steps, wet, slippery, and uneven terrain.

You will be required to clean up animal waste.

In cases of an animal emergency, you may be required to help transport an animal to a vet.

You may also interact with the general public, and the dogs they may also own. Can you perform all the duties in the job description?*
